Approved For Use & Parasite Control In:
- Beef Cattle on Pasture: Controls Lungworms, Stomach Worms (Ostertagia ostertagi), and Intestinal Worms (Haemonchus contortus, Cooperia spp., etc.).
Dosing and Administration Instructions
This is a free-choice medicated block. Efficacy is dependent on proper consumption over a 3-day period.
- Target Consumption: The block is formulated so that cattle will consume approximately 0.5 lbs of the block per 500 lbs of body weight over the 3-day treatment period.
- Placement: Place blocks in the pasture near watering holes, loafing areas, or where cattle congregate.
- Supply: Provide enough blocks for the entire herd to be treated simultaneously. One 25-lb block treats 5,000 lbs of cattle.
- Critical Step: REMOVE all other sources of salt or minerals during the 3-day treatment period to ensure proper consumption of the medicated block.
Example for a Herd of 10 Cows (avg. 1,000 lbs each):
- Total herd weight = 10 cows x 1,000 lbs = 10,000 lbs.
- Blocks needed = 10,000 lbs / 5,000 lbs per block = Two (2) 25-lb blocks.
- Place both blocks in the pasture and remove all other salt licks for 3-6 days to ensure adequate consumption.
