Equimax® (ivermectin 1.87% / praziquantel 14.03%) Paste – 0.225 oz Syringe
Product Overview
Give your horse the ultimate, all-in-one parasite protection with Equimax®, the most comprehensive, single-dose dewormer available. Equimax® combines the power of two distinct active ingredients—ivermectin and praziquantel—to provide a true, broad-spectrum treatment that eliminates a wider range of dangerous parasites than ivermectin alone.
Why settle for partial protection? While ivermectin is the gold standard for roundworms, strongyles, and bots, it is not effective against tapeworms, a leading and often hidden cause of colic. Equimax® closes this critical gap. With one easy-to-administer dose, you can safeguard your horse against all three major parasite groups: roundworms, tapeworms, and bots. It’s the peace of mind and complete protection your equine partner deserves, all in one syringe.
Key Features & Benefits
- True All-in-One Formula: The powerful combination of ivermectin (1.87%) and praziquantel (14.03%) eliminates the need for separate dewormers, saving you time and money.
- Essential Tapeworm Control: Praziquantel specifically targets and eliminates tapeworms (Anoplocephala perfoliata), which are a significant risk factor for serious types of colic, like ileocecal intussusception.
- The Gold Standard, Perfected: Provides all the proven benefits of ivermectin against large and small strongyles, pinworms, ascarids, hairworms, lungworms, and bots.
- Proven Safe for All Horses: FDA-approved and proven safe for use in horses of all ages, including foals as young as 4 weeks, pregnant and lactating mares, and breeding stallions.
- Easy & Palatable Administration: The smooth, easy-to-dose paste is readily accepted by horses, and the patented Sure-Grip™ syringe ensures comfortable handling and accurate dosing every time.
- Manufactured by Bimeda: A global leader in animal health, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficacy.
Comprehensive Protection Against All Major Parasites:
Equimax® is the only dewormer you need for complete control of:
- Tapeworms (Adult and Immature): Anoplocephala perfoliata
- Large Strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentatus, S. equinus
- Small Strongyles: Including strains resistant to some other dewormer classes
- Bots (Oral and Gastric Stages): Gasterophilus spp.
