Dewormer for Beef & Dairy Cattle – 50 LBS Medicated Pellets
Product Overview
The ultimate solution for efficient, low-stress, herd-wide parasite control. This 50-lb bag of medicated dewormer pellets delivers the powerful, broad-spectrum efficacy of fenbendazole in a palatable, easy-to-use feed form. It’s the modern, intelligent way to deworm your entire herd without the stress, labor, and potential health setbacks associated with injections, pastes, or drenching.
Designed for the commercial cattle producer, stocker operator, or large-scale rancher, these pellets can be easily top-dressed onto feed or mixed into a total mixed ration (TMR). A single-day treatment is all it takes to control the key internal parasites that rob your cattle of weight gain, feed efficiency, and overall health. Protect your investment and your bottom line with the simplest, most effective herd deworming solution.
Key Features & Benefits
- Ultimate Low-Stress Application: Eliminates the need for chutes, handling, and needles. Simply add the pellets to the feed bunk. This reduces animal stress, which helps prevent weight loss (shrink) and sickness associated with processing.
- Powerful Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Effectively treats and controls the most economically damaging internal parasites, including the brown stomach worm (Ostertagia ostertagi), lungworms, hookworms, and bankrupt worms.
- Convenient Single-Day Treatment: Unlike other feed-through dewormers that require multiple days, this formulation is designed for a complete, effective treatment in just one feeding.
- Zero-Day Slaughter Withdrawal & No Milk Discard: The active ingredient, fenbendazole, has a 0-day withdrawal period for slaughter. It is also approved for use in lactating dairy cattle with no milk discard required, offering maximum flexibility for all types of cattle operations.
- Highly Palatable Formula: The pellets are readily consumed by cattle when mixed with feed, ensuring every animal receives a consistent, therapeutic dose.
- Economical Herd-Wide Treatment: The 50-lb bag is the most cost-effective way to deworm large groups of cattle, making it ideal for treating entire pastures, pens, or new arrivals simultaneously.
Provides Proven Control Against Critical Cattle Parasites:
- Lungworm: (Dictyocaulus viviparus)
- Stomach Worms: Brown Stomach Worm (Ostertagia ostertagi), Barberpole Worm (Haemonchus contortus, H. placei), Small Stomach Worm (Trichostrongylus axei)
- Intestinal Worms: Hookworm (Bunostomum phlebotomum), Thread-necked Intestinal Worm (Nematodirus helvetianus), Small Intestinal Worms (Cooperia punctata, C. oncophora), Bankrupt Worm (Trichostrongylus colubriformis), Nodular Worm (Oesophagostomum radiatum).
Dosing and Administration Instructions
This medicated product is designed to be fed for one (1) day.
- Dosing Rate: The standard dose is 5 mg of fenbendazole per kg of body weight. These pellets are formulated to deliver this dose when fed according to the rate below.
- Feeding Rate: Feed 0.5 lbs (8 oz) of pellets per 500 lbs of body weight.
- Application: Can be fed as a top-dress on grain or silage in a feed bunk, or mixed into a total mixed ration (TMR). Ensure all animals have adequate bunk space to consume their share within 6-8 hours.
Example Dosing for a Group of Ten (10) 800-lb Steers:
- Total weight = 10 steers x 800 lbs/steer = 8,000 lbs.
- Total dose needed = (8,000 lbs / 500 lbs) x 0.5 lbs of pellets = 8 lbs of pellets.
- Mix the 8 lbs of pellets evenly into the total daily feed ration for the pen.
